CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
DI-Africa is looking for a CNC Operator for the machining activities of the industrial workshop of one of its clients in Pemba, Mozambique.
THE ROLE
Carry out machining operations on numerically controlled machines in accordance with drawings, work instructions and quality requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Prepare parts, tools and work-holding devices.
● Carry out the authorised settings and corrections under the supervision of the CNC supervisor.
● Load validated programs and check the start-up conditions.
● Run machining operations and monitor machine operation.
● Check the dimensions and condition of parts using suitable instruments.
● Identify and report defects, anomalies and production deviations.
● Fill in the tracking sheets and ensure the traceability of the work.
● Carry out routine checks and first-level maintenance in line with procedures.
PROFILE
Education | ● Technical training in mechanics or machining, or equivalent experience. |
Experience | ● Practical experience on CNC machines, ideally two to three years. |
Technical skills | ● Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances. ● Good use of calipers, micrometers and other inspection instruments. ● Knowledge of cutting tools and basic settings. |
Languages | ● Portuguese and English |
Qualities | ● Precision, discipline and ability to work in a team. |
Job conditions | ● Workshop-based position in Pemba, Mozambique. ● Local recruitment only. |
