CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
DI-Africa is recruiting a Driver / Forklift Operator to handle equipment movements and heavy loads in the workshop and storage areas of one of its clients in Pemba, Mozambique.
THE ROLE
Transport, load, unload and position industrial equipment and parts using suitable vehicles and forklifts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Drive high-capacity forklifts in authorised areas.
● Carry out pre-use checks and report any anomaly.
● Check that the load is compatible with the forklift capacity, the load centre and the attachments used.
● Load and unload vehicles, then move parts to their designated locations.
● Coordinate manoeuvres with ground teams and respect the separation between machinery and pedestrians.
● Carry out the vehicle trips needed for the workshop activities.
● Fill in the checklists and the equipment movement documents.
● Keep vehicles and machinery clean and available for operations.
PROFILE
Certifications | ● Valid certification covering the operation of forklifts with a minimum capacity of 15 tons (required). ● Valid driving licence suited to the vehicles used. |
Experience | ● Proven practical experience on forklifts of this capacity. ● Experience in heavy-load handling in an industrial environment. |
Technical skills | ● Knowledge of stability, traffic and load-securing rules. |
Languages | ● Portuguese and English |
Qualities | ● Prudence, reliability and sense of responsibility. |
Job conditions | ● Workshop-based position in Pemba, Mozambique. |
