Protecting your candidate data

🏢Who is responsible for your data?

Your data is processed by DI-Africa (Mauritius) Co Ltd, the umbrella company of the DI-Africa group (registered office: Lot 02, Floor 1, CentrePoint, Trianon, Republic of Mauritius), which operates the talents.di-africa.com portal and the group's recruitment websites (DI-Africa Mining, DI-Africa Digital Factory).

The group applies an internal personal data protection procedure (PRO-INF-DAT-01) based on the Data Protection Act 2017 of the Republic of Mauritius, as well as the laws in force in the countries where we recruit. A Data Protection Officer (DPO) is appointed at group level.

📄What data do we collect?

• Identity and contact details: first and last name, email, phone, city and country of residence, LinkedIn profile if you share it;
• Your CV and its content: experience, education, qualifications, skills, languages;
• Your answers to application forms (position applied for, availability, mobility, international experience…);
• The results of any assessment tests and your exchanges with our recruiters.

Please do not send us sensitive data (health, religion, political opinions, etc.) that has not been requested.

🎯Why do we use it?

• To review your application and contact you;
• To organise interviews and, where relevant, assessment tests;
• To offer you jobs that match your profile, now or later (talent pool);
• To present your profile to the hiring company, only for a specific position matching your application;
• To manage your candidate space.

Legal bases: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (your application), our legitimate interest in building a talent pool and, beyond the retention period, your consent.

🤝Who can access it?

• DI-Africa recruiters and the group entities concerned by the position;
• The client company that is hiring, only for the position concerned;
• Our technical service providers (Odoo platform hosting, Google Workspace), bound by confidentiality.

Your data is never sold or used for advertising purposes.

As the group operates in several countries, your data may be accessed from another group entity. Such access takes place in a secure environment (restricted access, multi-factor authentication).

⏳How long do we keep it?

Your application is kept for 3 years after our last contact. After that, your data is deleted unless you agree that we keep it longer. If you are hired, your file becomes an employee file subject to its own legal retention periods.

🧠Automated CV analysis

The score displayed when you upload your CV is for guidance only: it helps you showcase your profile. No recruitment decision is ever made by fully automated means — every application is reviewed by a recruiter.

✅Your rights

At any time you may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, the restriction of its processing, object to its use, or withdraw your consent.

• Update your profile and CV from your candidate space;
• For any other request, write to us through the contact form mentioning “Data protection”: your request is forwarded to the group DPO and handled within 30 days at most.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority (Data Protection Office of Mauritius or the authority of your country of residence).
