CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
DI-Africa is recruiting a Manual Workshop Operator with practical phosphating experience for one of its clients in Pemba, Mozambique.
THE ROLE
Carry out the manual preparation and surface treatment operations on metal parts, in compliance with phosphating, quality and safety procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Identify the parts and prepare the operations according to the work instructions.
● Carry out cleaning, degreasing and the other preparation steps required by the process.
● Carry out the phosphating operations and the associated steps according to the workshop procedures.
● Monitor and record the required treatment parameters: duration, temperature and bath checks.
● Check the appearance of treated parts and report defects or non-conforming results.
● Ensure the identification, protection and storage of parts after treatment.
● Handle chemical products in accordance with the safety data sheets and instructions.
● Keep the equipment and the work area clean and safe.
PROFILE
Experience | ● Demonstrable practical experience in phosphating of metal parts (required). ● Experience in an industrial workshop or in surface treatment. |
Technical skills | ● Knowledge of chemical risks and of the appropriate protective equipment. ● Ability to follow an operating routing and to fill in treatment records. |
Languages | ● Portuguese and English |
Qualities | ● Rigour, vigilance and compliance with procedures. |
Job conditions | ● Workshop-based position in Pemba, Mozambique. ● Local recruitment only. |
